INFORMATION
Bosnia and Herzegovina is located in southeastern Europe in the central part of the Balkan Peninsula. Its total area is 51,129 km2. The boundary length is 1,537 km, of which land 762,5 km, river 751 km and sea 23,5 km. Bosnia and Herzegovina borders with the Republic of Croatia (931 km), Serbia (375 km) and Montenegro (249 km). To the north part of Bosnia and Herzegovina comes to the Sava River, and to the southern part of the Adriatic Sea at Neum. The land of Bosnia and Herzegovina is remarkably mountainous, with an average altitude of 500 m. Of the total area of BH, 5% of the waste on the plains, 24% on the hills, 42% on the mountains and 29% on the karst. (NEAP, 2003) Bosnia and Herzegovina is regulated by the Dayton Accord, which consists of the Federation of BiH (10 cantons), Republika Srpska and Brčko District.
